Guest Lounge
At Lorna Doone House we have a cosy guest lounge with great river views. Here you will find comfortable chairs, a selection of books and leaflets and a range of cds. We want you to feel at home whilst you are with us so please treat the lounge as your own and take time to relax and do nothing - how often do you have the chance?

Private car park
We have our own on site car park so you will not have to worry about finding somewhere for your car whilst you enjoy the beautiful walks in the area. In fact many guests find they do not have to use their car for the whole of their stay.

Terrace overlooking the River Lyn
At the front of the house we have a small patio area with benches and table and chairs. These make an ideal location for just watching the world go by or bathing in the warmth of the evening sun with a good book. 

Opening times
Lorna Doone House is open for bed, breakfast and evening meals from February to November. If you are interested in making a booking then you can either ring us or email us or have a look at our availability on line. However you contact us we look forward to welcoming you to our house and our beautiful area.

Dining Room
Our river facing dining room is ideal for a lazy breakfast or a first class evening meal.  As we are licensed you can also enjoy a bottle of wine or a range of drinks with your meal.  Our meal times give you a chance to catch up with new places to visit or just review your day with other guests.  You may find a whole new walk you never knew existed or find out the location of our herons who frequently fish from the river.


Wi-Fi Access
Whilst most people want to be out and about enjoying our beautiful area there are times when you may need to check in with the "real" world and catch up on your emails or work or even just surf the net for pleasure.  We have free wi-fi access throughout the house and you can even get a signal sat outside whislt enjoying a drink or two!

Groups & Families
As we have a total of 6 rooms and can accommodate up to 13 people we are an ideal size for a group of friends who want to come away and enjoy good company in good surroundings.  We are also ideal for a large family gathering.  Why not come to Lorna Doone and let us cook for you all and let the children enjoy themselves without having to worry about other guests.
